France is a perfect example of Socialism at the brink of failure. That failure began when citizens begged for taxation, free programs like healthcare, free food, and subsidized housing. You know, those things you are entitled to because, well, simply, because you are alive. Nature does not work like that!
“Social taxes account for 37% of French revenue; the OECD average is 26%. Payroll and property taxes contribute 3% and 9%, compared to the OECD averages of 1% and 6%. As a reminder, the payroll tax is very regressive; it consumes a larger share of low and middle class earners than rich people.”
