With all of the green debates concerning wind, nuclear, coal, and solar power, we might assume all of the ramifications of each type of power has already been explored when actually the truth is quite the opposite.
Recent studies by Scientists at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon as well as other teams are revealing issues and disturbances both under and above water where wind turbines have been placed for “green” energy.
In the article Offshore wind farms change marine ecosystems, study shows, they bring out points of issues with wind turbines such as “For example, Nils Christiansen’s team proved that wake turbulences—air vortices caused by wind turbines—change the flow and stratification of the water beneath them. But the climate just above the sea surface is also being permanently changed, as another team led by Dr. Naveed Akhtar was able to show.”

Planting corn on farmland has been a farmer’s money crop for many years. Only in recent times have we begun to fight for the use of corn and farmland in energy production instead of food production, one of the three basic necessities of human life.
“It takes approximately 8 acres of land per megawatt of installed solar capacity and an average of 106 acres per megawatt of wind energy.” Congressman Tom Tiffany Farmers are being enticed with rental payments for solar nearing 5X that of crop production. We have not found any restrictions that prevent farmland owners from claiming conservation subsidies and rental payments from solar farm owners leasing the same land.
Taxpayers spent $9 Billion in corn subsidies in 2020 which included “conservation”: forgoing planting corn for environmental purposes and biomass: corn fuel which is another environmental program. Solar federal subsidies (taxpayer dollars) totaled more than $6 million in 2020 not including loans, state subsidies, local subsidies, and rebates. Economic Development dollars are also at work especially in the large commercial solar farms like the new 13,000 acre solar farm in Northwest Indiana. In December 2020, Congress passed an extension of the ITC, which provides a 26% tax credit for systems installed in 2020-2022, and 22% for systems installed in 2023.
“In the real world, compared to their contribution, wind and solar get 25 times the subsidies that nuclear gets and 50 times the subsidies that fossil fuels get.” according to Jeff Wallther. Solar only contributes 3% of USA Energy. Comparing land use of crop vs solar panels, most conservatives learn toward food production while liberals believe “renewable energy” panels are more important regardless of food shortages and high prices.
Using farmland for more “global warming ” projects at a time when global food supplies are tight does not make economical common sense. Corn exports have exceeded previous record highs in the past couple of years. Corn prices in the USA have climbed due to China paying high prices for corn imports from USA. China owns 80% of Solar panel production and has hoarded over 69% of the world’s corn. Corn prices also increase due to conservation, solar farming, and Biomass production.
Between 2010 and 2015, we subsidized wind and solar to the tune $39 Billion per year and extra Congressional appropriations such as $59 Billion in 2015 not including state and local subsidies to quiet the scream of climate alarmist who insist, without proof, that Solar is a better energy source even though it is produced by oil, causes significant wildlife habitat disturbances, toxic waste produced at end of cycle, mass of black panels trapping heat, alteration of earth sun exposure and moisture, acute runoff, migratory bird loss effect, and depends upon Chinese Rare Earth Metals to be manufactured.
Solar is only “cheap” while taxpayer dollars subsidizes the extravagant cost. When subsidies are removed, Solar power becomes a mountain too high to climb. Those who are taking advantage of all the rebates, tax credits, state refunds for solar installation only worsen the poverty problem in the USA in a moral superiority role of environmental Protection forcing others to pay for their energy phobias.
The USA has promised to install solar power on its land to the World Economic Forum. Farmland that produces the nations food is being sold and leased in record numbers to Conglomerates, Billionaires such as Bill Gates who is an Agenda Contributor to the World Economic Forum (WEF) and population reduction enthusiast, and foreign countries.
WEF says they are “an international non-governmental and lobbying organisation based in Cologny, canton of Geneva, Switzerland. It was founded on 24 January 1971 by German engineer and economist Klaus Schwab. The foundation, which is mostly funded by its 1,000 member companies – typically global enterprises with more than five billion US dollars in turnover….”
Visit the WEF website to view their platform. Most issues are the USA Democratic party platform campaign slogans with emphasis on “sustainability” and “Zero Emission”. Here is their website link https://www.weforum.org
Farmers are leasing their land to solar farms developers instead of producing corn to feed the country’s livestock.
In Indiana, a 13,000 acre solar farm just broke ground in Starke County that was previously used to produce corn. The Indy Star reported “‘This is going to have major benefits,’ said Lisa Dan, the executive director of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation. ‘If we need to be known for something, I don’t mind being known as the solar capital of Indiana and beyond.'” (1)
According to greencoast.org, solar panels give off electromagnetic radiation which could be harmful to your health and cause other issues such as land erosion, loss of scenic vistas, and wildlife displacement. (2)
The Environmental Protection Agency chimed in stating “Hazardous waste testing on solar panels in the marketplace has indicated that different varieties of solar panels have different metals present in the semiconductor and solder. Some of these metals, like lead and cadmium, are harmful to human health and the environment at high levels.” (3)
Surprisingly, some farmers are considering use of farmland for dual purposes. They use the ground below the panels to grow crops and graze animals. Grow and glow?
While USA citizens import Chinese plastic products for toys and useless products that exploits Petroleum for manufacturing which increases gas prices, they import one of the three basic necessities of life, food; our corn, found in over 4000 items at a typical grocery store.
Food prices have hit record highs. The original intent of U.S. farm subsidies was to provide economic stability to farmers during the Great Depression and ensure a steady domestic food supply for Americans.
To make the subject of subsidy easier, think of a subsidy like receiving a bonus from the Federal government because your paycheck didn’t cover the bills.
3% of farms are large corporate farms making more than $1 Million per year producing nearly half of all farm products produced. In contrast, small family farms make less than $350,000 per year. According to the Cato Institute, farmers of corn, soybeans, and wheat receive more than 70% of farm subsidies. These are usually the largest farms in the 3% category.
The intent of subsidies is to prevent farmers from going bankrupt, not to enrich farmers who are making out like bandits. These corporate farmers (3%), more often than not, use the USA farmland (a limited resource), receive large subsidies and then export our grains to places like China where they are hoarding grains and inflating the world’s food prices. China imports more of our corn than any other country.
China’s stockpile went from 7 million metric tons to 22 million metric tons in 2020/2021. By mid-2022, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, China will hold 69% of the world’s corn reserves, 60% of its rice and 51% of its wheat.
Even with these facts evident to Congress who has complete control over exports and “bonuses” paid to corporate America, the money still flows into those open Corporate coffers. The amount exported is expected to double this season. The effect export has on our food prices will be devastating.
We can understand why exporting our food to feed other countries prevents our country from feeding our own people. People may now understand why we have shortages. Our Congress allows this, supports exporting our food, and then rewards corporate farmers for doing so.
The United States citizens have been known for their generosity. When that generosity is taken advantage of, people demand explanations and hold those responsible in contempt. Government abuse of flaunting citizen’s hard earned tax dollars must end.
Shipping Corn: The uncounted Petroleum price increase.
All Citizens deserve the same treatment from our elected officials regardless of their race, religion, or social stature. Our contract with our government is for “…liberty and justice for all.” “For All” includes those who are unfortunate in the financial and health status.
“The poverty rate in LaPorte Indiana is 22.4%. One out of every 4.5 residents of LaPorte lives in poverty.” (1) There are many statistics available but they all range around 20% poverty in LaPorte. This is a slight and insignificant variance which means at 20%, one in every 5 residents of LaPorte lives in poverty. Those people are deserving of representation by our government just as the 1.52% of wealthy Hoosiers in the $200,000 wage bracket (2) who are more than able to afford the highest streaming internet.
LaPorte households earn a median salary of $41,000 and “…29% of households earning less than $40,000 a year have no internet connection or only have access through a smartphone.” (3) Apparently, the majority of people in LaPorte are incapable of attending county or city meetings via Zoom or connect to any interface to air their grievances against their government which leaves them without representation. In my personal opinion, closing our government meetings to public outcry is a grave error and should be rectified immediately.
Our government was brought about through the Declaration of Independence for grievances against our King such as:
“He has called together legislative bodies at laces unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measure” (4)
“He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.” (4)
“For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:” (4)
“For depriving us in many cases of the benefits of Trial by Jury:” (4)
The Constitution of the United States 1st Amendment establishes that our Government must take orders from and “make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
